Automate or Streamline Inventory UpdatesWarehouse staff typically have at least one hand full so typing on a computer is challenging; a graphical user interface that uses a mouse and/or scanner can be a definite advantage in warehouse workflow. This new enhanced inventory update module has a graphical user interface and major enhancements. For example, there is a new option to specify a book before selecting an inventory transaction. If you have multiple (and different transactions) for the same title, this new option will be a real timesaver. Second, this new module can be customized to address your inventory-process business issues. Even screen displays and field updates can be customized. Other program enhancements include: 1. Update a loose set header (which has no inventory), and the program will update the components instead. For example, if 1,000 copies of a loose set header are received, the inventory program can be customized to receive 1,000 of each of the components times the quantity of that component in the set. 2. Update a prepackaged set (which does have inventory), and the program will decrement the inventory of the components. For example, if 1,000 copies of a prepackaged set header are received, the module can be customized to issue 1,000 each of each of the components times the number of that component in the set. 3. Issue all stock from your damaged warehouse. 4. Receive or issue stock based on the contents of an input file. 5. Issue stock of remaindered or old edition titles. 6. Update book records when maintaining inventory. Customize which fields can be updated.
