Capture/View Order NumberIf you are uploading orders from a web site or other data source into Cat's, you may want to record the order number assigned earlier. Cat's has an optional Order Number module that allows you to upload, view, and edit the order number on any invoices entered in Cat's. The order number can be viewed in the programs to enter, view, or edit invoices. You can also search for invoices by this order number, so Customer Service can use it to look up an order in Cat's. It can be printed on your invoice forms, included in emails generated from Cat's, or exported back to the web site or other original data source. This is especially useful if you want to export information about the order back to the original source, e.g., you can export shipment tracking information back to the web site, so the customer can access that information using their original order number assigned at the time they placed their order. This feature is also useful if you want to be able to track all of the invoices related to an original order.
