Open Order Status Report
for Barnes & Noble
Has Barnes and Noble requested a periodic report on the
status of all their open purchase orders? If the volume of orders from Barnes &
Noble is significant, this can be a really tedious chore! How about letting
Cat's PJs do all of that work for you. Cat's has a new program that can check
the status of every open purchase order for Barnes & Noble. The program reads
the file received from B&N, checks the status in Cat's of each open purchase
order, and creates an electronic file for you to send back to them. The output
file includes all the information requested currently by Barnes & Noble,
including the B&N order status codes.
The program may require some customization to link your book
status codes and stock conditions to the appropriate Barnes & Noble order status
codes. Also, the module needs a way to identify Barnes & Noble accounts. This
customization can be conditioned by a code in the customer record (less
expensive) or by a list of customer account numbers (more expensive).
