Cat's PJs Acquired by MSGL

January 22, 2007

We are excited to announce that The Cat's Pajamas has been happily gobbled up by Media Services Group.

This is truly a win-win-win situation if there ever was one:

Media Services wins by expanding its base of book-publishing-savvy people.

Cat’s wins by staying small, cohesive and continuing to sustain our system.

Cat's clients win by having everything they had before plus the expanded resources of Media Services Group staff and products.

Size really does matter.  With a roster of ten people at Cat's we were continually faced with the dilemma of (a) servicing the immediate needs of our customers versus (b) shifting people to major development, which is pretty stark if you're a small outfit like us. The Media Services Group has nearly 100 people. That's a healthier population if you want to support present users and at the same time build a path to the future.

Cat’s will stay in the same place, with the same people, with the same commitment to all of our customers.  With the added resource of The Media Services Group, we will be releasing a number of important system enhancements in 2007.  Stay tuned.

The Media Services Group is a major supplier of software to many segments of publishing, including books, circulations, memberships, directories, advertising, events and conferences.
