Anacortes Art Galleries

First Friday Art Walk

The first Friday of every month the art galleries in Anacortes stay open late for a Gallery walk. Come to town, have supper, then tour the galleries!

Not only does Anne show and sell her own paintings, prints and jewelry, but she also features work of other artists.

Insights Gallery 516 Commercial Ave. Anacortes 98221 (360) 588-8044 email: mail@insightsgallery.com Insights Gallery features a diverse group of artists with styles ranging from classical realism to cutting edge abstraction, and displays the works of noted Skagit Valley artist Alfred Currier.

Lenswork Gallery 1019 7th St. Anacortes, WA 98221 360-293-4726 (800-600-4726 toll free) email: customerservice@lenswork.com Lenswork produces a bi-monthly book-quality publication which focuses on photography and the creative process, and sells photogravure hand-made prints in their retail gallery in Anacortes.

Scott-Milo Gallery 420 Commercial Ave. Anacortes 98221 (360) 293-6938  email: smilo@anacortes.net Scott Milo Gallery showcases a wide variety of Northwest artists, in a variety of mediums, rotating on a monthly basis.

Most of these are not in downtown Anacortes, as are the ones listed above. In addition, there are many galleries in La Conner and several in Mount Vernon and Sedro Woolley.

Museum of Northwest Art 121 South First St. La Conner, WA 98257 360-466-4446 email: mona@ncia.com The Museum of Northwest Art is dedicated to the art of the region, with rotating exhibits, a growing permanent collection and educational activities throughout the year. The Museum also houses a gift shop.

Northwind Gallery & Garden Shop 430 Guemes Island Rd. Anacortes 98221 (on Guemes Island) (360) 293-9572 email: iiart@fidalgo.net The Gallery is located on the North side of Guemes Island, open limited hours, featuring limited edition hand colored etchings and a variety of arts produced by local artists.

Powell Studios 12702 Reservation Rd, Anacortes, 98221 (Outside of town. Call first.) (360) 293-3237 Studios of husband and wife aritsts. Tracy Powell sculpts in stone. Maralyne Powell is a photographer.

Rhody Too 551 Chuckanut Dr. Bow 98232 (360) 766-4031 Gifts and art in the middle of the Skagit flats.
