There are several bed & breakfast accommodations in the area. None of our staff have stayed in them, so we cannot offer any recommendations. But here are a few links to useful sites:

Hampton Inn and Suites
The Hampton Inn & Suites is the newest hotel in the Burlington/Mount Vernon area. It features free local calls and no surcharge for using a calling card, complimentary High-Speed Internet Access, complimentary On the House hot breakfast, complimentary copies of USA Today Monday through Friday, free coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day and 24-hour front desk message and fax. All rooms have coffee makers, ironing boards, and a free movie channel. Check their web site for pictures and a list of all amenities. Ask for the MSGL preferred rate.

Holiday Inn Express
The Holiday Inn Express is the closest hotel to The Cat's Pajamas. It features indoor pool and hot tub, business center, nice complimentary breakfast. All rooms have microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, coffeemaker. Check their website for a full list of amenities.

Anacortes
The town of Anacortes is located on Fidalgo Island, and the ferries to the San Juan Islands leave from there. Anacortes has a large community of artists, interesting shops, and beautiful hiking trails.
Anaco Bay Inn
The Anaco Bay Inn is spacious and well equipped and the atmosphere is light, comfortable, and friendly. All rooms have gas fireplaces, and some have kitchen units and modem lines. Facilities include a Jacuzzi hot tub, a modest library, laundry facilities, and a conference room. The price includes a continental breakfast. All rooms are air conditioned, with hair dryer and coffee maker. A no smoking/no pets facility.

To reach The Cat's Pajamas from the hotel: Exit left onto Commercial. Left onto Highway 20 spur. Follow highway off the Island, and proceed straight. When you have a choice of Burlington or Mount Vernon, stay left and head toward Burlington. Follow to Pulver Road and turn right. Watch for CPJ on your left, a two-story, beige building. Map

Fidalgo Country Inn
The Fidalgo Country Inn has forty-six rooms, all furnished with either two queens or one king-sized bed, natural pine furniture, cable TV (with free Stars movie channel) and a complementary continental breakfast. Some suites also include a fireplace, wet bar, deck or private jetted tubs or soaking tubs. The deluxe rooms have views of the bay. All rooms have ironing boards, hair dryers, and coffee makers. Ask about special rates for Cat’s Pajamas visitors.
The inn is located at the juncture of Highway 20, which leads to Whidbey Island over Deception Pass, and Highway 20 Spur, which leads to the city of Anacortes and the San Juan Ferry terminal.

Marina Inn
The Marina Inn features convenient parking while establishing a sense of luxury and privacy, with interior entrances to all rooms. The Marina also furnishes guest laundry facilities, an indoor hot tub, and a complimentary continental breakfast. There's a 24-hour front desk with message and fax services. Most rooms have coffee makers and (if you request it) irons and ironing boards. Microwaves and refrigerators are available. Five rooms offer a king-sized bed and a private Jacuzzi tub. Best Western Cottontree Inn
The Best Western Cottontree Inn is close to The Cat's Pajamas. It features very spacious rooms equipped with wet bar and coffee maker. Some rooms have microwaves and refrigerators (ask about them if you are interested). The inn serves an ample complimentary breakfast, and the Marketplace Bistro, next door, serves lunch and dinner. Check their website for a full list of amenities as well as maps and information about the area. The airport shuttle service stops here, making it very convenient if you do not plan to rent a car. Taxi service is readily available.

La Conner
La Conner Country Inn
The La Conner Country Inn is nestled in the waterfront town of La Conner, which is about twenty to twenty-five minutes from Cat's Pajamas. The hotel itself has a quaint, rustic look, with a top-notch restaurant attached that also offers room service. Each room includes a standard- or queen-size bed and a twin bed, phone, cable TV, gas fireplace, oak table and chairs. A continental breakfast is served every morning by the stone fireplace in the library. The town of La Conner features wonderful boutiques, antiques and first-rate restaurants.
Be sure to ask for their weekday corporate rate for either a standard or a queen room -- it's a substantial savings over their regular rates. Weekend rates are higher and are seasonal (highest in April, July, August, and September). Check with them for the current weekend rates.
